She and Fenris had been so damn close... and then those elevator doors opened. Maybe it was an omen. Maybe, maybe not - but the fact remained that nothing had happened. He sent the wolf ahead of him, making a joke about his room number. "12 here," Cass said softly. Her bag was heavy on her shoulder, and she was flagging. Awake for almost 24 hours now, the tiredness was telling. "Now here's corny for you," she grinned. "Your place or mine?"

Fenris smiled at Cass, "We have the pass through door, so... we can do both. Yay, double fridge!" He led the way toward their rooms, opened his door, and slung his bag in. "Go." The wolf went in and Fenris let the door close. "Your place."

"Both, huh? Greedy boy," purred Cass, content to follow Fenris at this point. He tossed the wolf and his bag into his room, seemingly without worrying overly much about the wolf's welfare, and told her that they were hitting her room. Opening the door, sure enough, the rooms were not only adjacent but adjoining. Tossing her bag onto a chair, Cass didn't even bother switching the light on, instead heading over to the windows of her corner room to take in the view of the glittering Las Vegas strip. "Maybe I've not pissed my father off after all," she murmured. Her breathing could be heard in the silence of the room. "Isn't this something?"

"Greatest portion to the highest in rank." He smiled, content to play word tag with her for the moment. Fenris followed Cass into her room and looked around. It was a nice room and he could even see some of the strip flashing beyond the glass. Fenris wouldn't have been surprised to find out his room had no hot water and the window was bricked up by special request. She asked him about the view and he couldn't help himself. "The view is simply incredible," he said from several steps back.

"Fight you for rank, then," Cass replied, her gaze still cast out over the Las Vegas night. Well, dawn, actually. Orange streaks were already colouring the horizon, and her body reminded her that it had been up for... over 24 hours now. Turning, Cass faced Fenris, her face in shadow as she was backlit by the garish strip. "So...I promised you a nightcap." She stayed a respectful distance from him, although still closer than she had been before she turned around. "What's your poison, Fenris Lokison?"

"I'm up for the challenge." Fenris smirked back at her, his head tilting as she was back lit by the hints of dawn. She turned and his smile turned to a smolder. "That you did..." He waited to see where she was going with that. Her question... well, he chose to interpret it broadly. Fenris moved slowly toward her with hooded eyes. "At the moment..."

Cass felt, more than saw, Fenris's movement towards her: slow, deliberate, calculated, the planes of his face shadowed in the lights from outside. There was a gleam from his eyes, and she locked her gaze on his face as he rolled his body easily towards her. "So... what would you like for your nightcap," she murmured, her voice low and steady, her eyes locked on him, already anticipating the other Scion's answer to her question.

He was Great Fenris... or close enough, so it shouldn't have come as any terrible shock when the monosyllabic answer came out as a husky growl instead of a smooth lilt. "You."

"And what if I'm not on the menu," she breathed, already knowing full well that she might be on the menu for him. She didn't step any closer, standing her ground, her eyes locked on the huge man advancing towards her. "What then?"

"Something clever about getting the chef to do it anyway." He came to a stop at point blank range, the tip of his nose moving around as he took in her scent from such an intimate distance.
