"I am sorry, my father," uttered Horus's son - Ahmad - his head cast down, eyes locked to the floor, plainly scared shitless of his father. Either that, or was ridiculously respectful. Cass smirked lightly as Fenris made his opinion on their supposed "lateness" very clear. "If we had been given a specific time, we'd have been here," replied Cass firmly. "But, instead, the instructions were vague." She glanced at Manannan, who smiled almost fondly at her for once. "What are we doing here, anyway?"

Horus looked at the redhead carefully, his eyes narrowed at her insolence. However, whatever he was about to say was stalled by Manannan. "You're here because we asked you here," he replied in a broad Irish lilt. "We're in need of your... assistance." He looked around the group. "Are you all willing to help your das and ma?" He waited for the varied replies.

"Quit scraping to them. They ain't dying of old age... it isn't their fate." Fenris gave a narrow eyed look toward Thor. He simply stood, once again impassive when asked if he would help his father. Loki was the only God with a smidge of good will toward the Great Fenris Wolf, he wasn't aware of the chaining when it took place, and he was forbidden from helping and yet still had. He could count on his strongest son.

It was more than plain that Fenris had little time for any of the gods present, other than his own father, and Cass could understand that, even though she had little time for her own. There was a hesitation from most before an assenting murmur rose from the Scions. Cass, like Fenris, remained silent, but for a totally different reason. She wasn’t sure that she DID want to help her father. Eventually, though, she let out a long, slow breath and inclined her head. "Yes, I will also help." Manannan chuckled. "Good girl, I knew I could count on yous," he grinned. He might appear to be in his 70s, but he was a rogue, nonetheless. It was no wonder he could charm the birds out of the trees, literally sometimes, and women with it.

Horus slammed his hand down onto the table, calling the assembly to order. "I will not have this kind of disruption," he yelled. "You are here to do as we ask. You will provide security, see that we are not disturbed, and carry out our wishes! You will do all of this without argument. Is that clear?"

"Fuck you. Sideways," Fenris intoned once more, with the slight modification. Fortunately his father slipped in with an all too clever smile. "From my son, that means yes to helping, no to doing it like a drone. You've heard of my Great Fenris, haven't you Horus?" Fenris just stared silver bullets at the sand pounding olive god.

Cass held a snort back, looking down at the floor for a few seconds while she regained her composure. She understood Fenris's attitude, and could appreciate it. However, it still didn't change the fact that they were, at least a little, beholden to their parents, and needed to at least pretend to do as they were bid on occasion. Cass reached out and placed a warm hand on Fenris's wrist for just a second, squeezing lightly. "A little more information would be nice," she said coolly, holding Horus's gaze.

The Egyptian god stared back at her, before smiling, and turning to Manannan. "Your daughter has courage, Manannan," he chuckled. "You have blessed her well." He sighed for a second. "We wish not to be disturbed at all while we go about our business, and we only trust you, our children, to ensure that this instruction is carried out as we would wish it." He gazed for a few seconds around the motley crew of Scions, including Thor's daughter, who was curled up in her father's lap, and might as well be sucking her thumb, for all the adult traits she was displaying. "Can we rely on you to uphold the wills of your parents?"

Cass touched his arm, trying to rein him in a bit but what really helped her case was nobody treating him or her like a servant after his last invective. The only person who could demand a thing of him, or ask for a favor and then dictate his behaviour through that favor, was Loki. And even then the God of Norse Trickery had to pick his battles. So... Cass got a little victory by default which surely didn't hurt things between them. That was always a good thing. Fenris himself cast a glance that said that he'd just written Thor's daughter off entirely, relegating her to towel girl or something in his head, before nodding. "It's done then."

Fenris seemed to bite his tongue then, after Cass touched his arm, and she passed him a secret smile, one that said that she would reward him for that small concession later. She smiled slightly as Horus effectively layered praise onto her, well, more on her father, but still... approval from another god was always appreciated. "If you have specific requirements, Horus, we'll need to know them in advance," she asserted, stubborn to the end. "We can only do your bidding as far as you ask us to." Not insubordination, but close to it.

The Egyptian smiled. "The instructions you shall have, Irish one," he agreed. "But, for now, we shall have you shown to where you shall remain. Do you have questions?"
